The Ateneo Research Institute for the Futures of Education (RIFE), a center under the Gokongwei Brothers School of Education and Learning Design (GBSEALD), is envisioned to be the Ateneo de Manila University’s educational policy research center and futures think tank. The center hopes to engage the country’s education ecosystem—from learners to educators and administrators, both public and private sector partners—to inform and influence policy that will contribute to the improvement of systems of learning and teaching in Philippine schools.
RIFE aims to make a contribution to innovative, future-shaping policies and programs that address systemic issues related to education quality, access, equitability, and efficiency, informed by emerging trends, technologies, and education and learning scenarios. It will leverage knowledge from the emerging field and practice of Futures Thinking and Strategic Foresight.
